MARGAO: South Goa District Congress President Joe Dias on Sunday stated that encouraging defections and promoting family raj will be Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) mission for 2022.
He said they are very much confident of coming to power in 2022. “We appeal to the people to give Congress absolute majority to demolish BJP’s game plan”, he stated.
Joe alleged that BJP has now launched various outfits to divert the attention of the people from core issues. “These outfits are funded by the crony club of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Their ultimate agenda is to sell Goa to capitalists. Congress will not allow this to happen and we will continue to be the peoples’ voice”, he said.
“BJP’s intentions of encouraging defections, horse-trading and family raj got exposed after the government refused to admit the resolution moved by Digambar Kamat demanding Government of India to change the Anti-Defection Law to put an end to defections. This clearly states that BJP wants to murder democracy and defy people’s mandate even in the future”, said Joe.
