MAPUSA: In an unfortunate incident, a nine-year-old Delhi native drowned in the swimming pool of a Calangute hotel.
Calangute police said that they received a call from PHC Candolim informing about the death of the minor boy. Accordingly, police visited and conducted panchanama.
Police informed that the minor boy had come along with his parents and relatives was holidaying at the hotel. On Wednesday evening while the family was bathing in the pool, boy wandered away and got drowned. The incident occurred around 8 pm.
Police have booked the hotel management under Section 304-A of IPC for negligence by not providing any pool attendant or life guard.
