MAPUSA: Police arrested Mukesh Sharma (35), a native of Delhi and presently residing at Mandrem, on charges of snatching chains.
According to Mapusa police, the accused was arrested by Crime Branch in connection with chain snatching cases reported in Goa. The accused was handed over to Mapusa police for his involvement chain snatching case reported on January 25 at Mapusa police station wherein gold mangalsutra of DeepaNavelkar weighing 35 grams worth Rs 1.40 lakh was snatched.
The accused had come on a motorcycle wearing a helmet and allegedly snatched complainant’s mangalsutra from her neck while she was passing by.
The accused was also involved in two similar cases (on January 15 and 28) which were reported to Mapusa police.
