MARGAO : A youth from Delhi who had come to Colva and stayed at a hotel for training, allegedly stole cash and other valuables worth around Rs 9 lakh.
Colva PSI Subhash Gaunker registered an offence based on the complaint and further investigation is in progress .
Police stated that the youth had come to Goa on training and was residing at a hotel in Colva around ten days ago.
On Thursday, during the wee hours the accused committed the theft and escaped from the hotel. Police said that manager of the hotel lodged the complaint giving details of the case. Sources in Colva police said that accused has left for Delhi by flight and his whereabouts were being checked.
