MARGAO: The South Goa District and Sessions Court, Margao rejected the bail application of 32-year-old Delhi resident Shambhu Nath Singh arrested for raping a girl from Assam.
Quepem Police said the two accused namely Singh and 63-year-old Sudhakar Naik from Sanvordem were arrested for raping the girl by offering her some drink. The duo has been remanded in judicial custody, said police.
The police said the victim was brought to Goa by Singh on the pretext of providing her a job. Police said first the girl was raped by Singh in his sister’s flat at Quepem and two days later the victim was also raped by Naik after intoxicating her by offering some drink.
