Demand for Urgent Repairs on Arambol -Palye Road Grows as Parents Fear for Student Safety

The bypass road connecting Arambol to Palaye Plateau has succumbed to severe damage, posing a concern for the safety of over six thousand students, teachers, and parents who traverse this route daily. Despite the high traffic volume, the government’s attention to this critical issue remains alarmingly absent. Parents stated that even young children experience discomfort, complaining of back and stomach aches after traversing this rugged road.

“It’s very difficult to ride on these roads, we can’t control the bikes that well, every part of the road is filled with potholes and we have to keep applying brakes. The govt. should at least think of the young students, if not the adults,” said Mohan who traverses daily on this road to pick his grandson.

He added that even young children experience discomfort, complaining of back and stomach aches after traversing this rugged road.

Locals pointed out that the road, constructed seven years ago, has deteriorated significantly over the past two years. Recent digging activities have only worsened the existing problems, aggravating the dangerous conditions for commuters.

“We are left with no alternative but to use this road. The authorities must take immediate measures, at least hot mix the road, as it hasn’t been maintained properly,” Sadanand emphasized.

Parents have demanded immediate action for the sake of their children’s safety. Parents stated that if the road is not repaired in two months they will not send their children to school.
