Curtorim MLA Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco has suggested that all dengue and other cases be treated at South Goa District Hospital so that the burden on GMC is reduced. Admitting that there are presently 102 dengue cases, Goa Health Minister Vishwajit Rane said that he would monitor referrals from both North and South Goa District hospitals. Vishwajit also advised MLAs to form committees with panchayats to tackle dengue since the health dept alone will not be able to undertake cleaning and fogging.
Cuncolim MLA Yuri Alemao asked the Health Minister to procure a single donor platelet machine for South Goa District hospital and GMC to treat low platelet count.
