MARGAO: Farmers from Aquem Baixo urged the government to denotify their land and allow them to continue with their agricultural activities.
GSUDA has commenced fencing the land at Aquem Baixo opposite the railway station. Recalling the promise of Agriculture Minister to let the farmers continue their agriculture activities on this land, a farmer informed media persons that agriculture is their only livelihood and requested the government to denotify the land by allowing them to continue with their agricultural activities.
“This land is fertile and is being cultivated for vegetables and horticultural crops. The government speaks of cultivation of land and on the other hand, land is being taken away by depriving farmers of their agricultural land” he charged.
