A dense fog led to a head-on collision between two bikes at the Parra-Saligao junction on Thursday morning. Tivim resident Satpurush Salgaonkar, who was riding one bike, succumbed to his injuries. The rider and the pillion of a Maharashtra-registered bike fled from the scene after the accident.
The Mapusa police have registered an offence under sections 279, 337 and 304 – A of sec 134 sub-section (a) and (b) of the IPC under the motor vehicle act.
