PANJIM: The Chief Electoral Office (CEO), Goa, has directed the District Election Officers (DEOs) to hold special camps at District, Taluka, Booth and College levels to link citizens’ Voter ID cards with their Aadhaar cards.
The Booth Level Officers (BLO), who are directed to work on full-time basis on the campaign, will conduct house-to-house campaigns till August 28.
Goa CEO Ramesh Verma said that the move is to improve the response to EPIC-Aadhaar linking. According to Verma, the linking of Voter ID cards with Aadhaar cards is being done with a view to validate the identity of electors and authentication of entries, to avoid duplications and errors in the ectoral roll.
