IAS officer P S Reddy, former finance secretary of Daman, and three more IAS officers have been posted in Goa. Reddy, a Goan civil service officer from the IAS cadre of AGMUT (Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Mizoram and Union Territories) was transferred out of Goa in 2011. He was in the same batch of IAS officer D A Hawaldar who has been recently transferred to Goa as finance secretary.
The Centre last month had promoted and appointed Jacques, Desai and Swapnil Naik, all members of the Goa Civil Service to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) AGMUT. While Jacques and Desai were appointed for the list of vacancies arisen in 2012, Naik has been appointed to the 2013 list. The three are the senior most officers of the Goa Civil Service according to the seniority list drafted by the government.
While Jacques is Executive Director of the Sports Authority of Goa, Desai who for long was director of transport, is now the Labour Commissioner.
