BICHOLIM: Stating that a separate fund will be created solely for development, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Tuesday, said that this fund will not be affected by any cash crunch and thus, no development work would not also not be affected due to lack of funds.
Sawant, was speaking a function that was organized by the Latambarcem Panchayat Samiti to felicitate the Speaker and Bicholim MLA, Rajesh Patnekar.
“No doubt there is crunch of funds but no developmental work will be held back for this reason. We want the support from the people to make a golden Goa in the next three years. We wish to fulfill the dream of late Manohar Parrikar,” added Sawant.
Speaking further, he said that all pending works in Bicholim will be completed and that Bicholim did not need any ministry for getting work of the constituency completed. “Bicholim has been given the post of Speaker and it is above any minister. He (Bicholim MLA Rajesh Patnekar) can call any official, minister and even the Chief Secretary and question anyone about pending projects in the constituency,” Sawant added.
Vinay Tendulkar, BJP State president and Patnekar also addressed the gathering.
