VASCO: Thousands of devotees attended the annual traditional Feast of Epiphany, the Three Kings, with religious fervour and gaiety, at the Three Kings Church in Cansaulim, on Monday.
Parishioners and devotees from across the State thronged at the Three Kings Church, to witness the procession of the Three Kings, which is being taken on the horses, from the three villages, namely Arossim, Cansaulim and Cuelim, with a brass band.
The three wise men were Kristen Fernandes from Arossim, Ian Pinheiro from Cansaulim and Zac Sequeira from Cuelim village.
On the occasion, the parishioners, devotees took the blessings from the Three Kings, by placing Kings’ crowns on their heads as per the tradition.
Later, during the Homily, parish priest urged the people to follow the teachings of Lord Jesus to become a true Christian and to inculcate the values which Jesus Christ followed.
Priest also urged the people to live life with truthfulness, by spreading love and brotherhood among all, alike Jesus Christ.
Many locals also took the pleasure in purchasing local sweets, some eatables, and other food and household items from the vendors and hawkers, which were present near Church.
