PANJIM: In a major development on the Assagao house demolition case, DGP Jaspal Singh has been transferred to Delhi. There were dramatic allegations against the DGP by PI Anjuna Prashal Desai that DGP had interfered in the case and pressurized them to allow the demolition. He also alleged that the cops were threatened with dire consequences.
Alok Kumar, IPS is slated to take over as the new DGP of Goa as and when his replacement takes over in Jammu and Kashmir.
When questioned by the media about the DGP’s transfer Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said, “DGP’s transfer has taken place, new DGP has been named. The DIG A Koan , who was suspended has also been transferred. The inquiry will be dealt with by the Home Ministry. We have recommended it to the home ministry.”
Prime accused Pooja Sharma, has filed for anticipatory bail plea before High Court
Three have arrested and the DGP has also been transferred to another state but the prime accused Pooja Sharma has still not arrived to Goa for interrogation.

Her lawyer, Adv Surendra Desai has said that Pooja Sharma is in Mumbai and will appear before the court whenever required. The police appear to be oblivious that she has filed for anticipatory bail. The question is once he bail is rejected, the police have to act.
