PANJIM: The last rites of Director General of Police (DGP) Pranab Nanda, were performed with full state honours at Lodhi Road crematorium ground, New Delhi, on Sunday.
Goa Chief Secretary Parimal Rai attended the funeral on behalf of the State along with several police officers. The State honour was given with help of Delhi Police.
Nanda, 1988-batch AGMUT cadre IPS officer, died due to massive cardiac arrest on Saturday,.
To pray or the peace to the departed soul, a Shantipath and Shok Sabha has been organized by Goa Police at its headquarters on November 19.
He took over the charge from his predecessor DGP Muktesh Chander on March 1, 2019.
