DGP Shukla back in Goa

PANJIM: The new Director General of Police (DGP) I D Shukla arrived in Goa at  Dabolim Airport on Monday evening and he said he was very happy to be back in the State where he had served for many years as Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) and then SP.

“I feel very good. I can’t explain my happiness. Goa is like my home place for me. I want to serve the people with this police force and we will deliver best governance in the State,” said Shukla while responding to a query from media persons about how he felt about returning to Goa after so many years.

The 1995 batch AGMUT cadre officer has replaced former Goa DGP Mukesh Kumar Meena who had been appointed in June 2020. Goa’s new DGP was welcomed by the Goa police force and senior officials and presented with a bouquet of flowers.
