KERI-SATTARI: The students of government primary school at Dhangarwada in Keri-Sattari are facing extreme hardships as there is no power in the school, which was refurbished three months ago.
After the commencement of the repair works six months ago, the students of this school had been temporarily moved to the verandah of the nearby Om Brahma Siddh Ashram, where children gathered for their regular classes.
For last six long months the young minds have been adjusting themselves in the makeshift school as they are yet to see the light of their classrooms.
It has been revealed that when the repair works were completed, there was a separate proposal for installing electrical fixtures for power connection. However, while the proposal has been accepted, but the final tender in this regard hasn’t been awarded yet.
The parents and locals have rallied together to voice their concerns, demanding quick action on restoring electric supply to stop the children’s woes from increasing.
They have asked the school management to follow up with the concerned authorities on this matter.
