PONDA: The Dharbandora gram sabha demanded that the government donate land for a village panchayat office in the village.
The members stated that a couple of years ago, the panchayat had handed 4000 sqmts of land for the construction of the office of Deputy Collector and Mamlatdar to the government.
“In exchange, the government had assured to provide alternative land for construction of VP office but so far nothing materialised,” stated villagers.
The locals lamented the fact that the panchayat had no land to build its own office today.
The gram sabha members then resolved that the panchayat write to the government to keep up to its word and compensate them with alternative land. The meeting was chaired by Sarpanch Balaji Gawas.
