Dhargal man held for burglary

CALANGUTE, JUNE 26
A man from Dhargal but staying at Pomburpa was arrested by Anjuna Police on Saturday on charges of burglary and forgery at Anjuna.
Anjuna Police arrested Savlo Ramnath Korgaonkar in connection with a burglary in a temple at Pernem. 
According to Anjuna Police, Korgaonkar confessed to the crime and was also identified by the Pujary of the Temple. The search and recovery of the stolen articles belonging to the temple is also in progress. 
Anjuna Police also recovered a fake driving license from Korgaonkar. The driving license had the name of one Sachit Madhukar Palni of Tivim, who had earlier lodged a missing complaint of his driving license with the police.
Korgaonkar had allegedly removed the photo of Palni and had affixed his photo. A case of cheating and forgery was accordingly registered by Anjuna police, besides the theft case.
