PONDA: MGP leader and Marcaim MLA Sudin Dhavalikar was highly critical of the recent speech given by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, who had called on the public to end the political career of the Dhavalikar brothers while speaking at a public meeting in Ponda.
Reacting to the manner in which Gadkari had singled out them and his remarks the MGP is only about the Dhavalikar brothers; Sudin said Goans did not need a man from Nagpur to advise them.
“ BJP is in power because of MGP’s support. But this party has now forgotten us and they have betrayed us. I have great regard for Gadkari as he is a man with vision and great capacity of development but some BJP people in Goa are instigating him to speak against MGP”, said Sudin.
He said nobody has the guts to finish MGP because it was a party in the heart of the Bahujans of Goa. “As long as there are Bahujans, it will last. We run it, but it will not die after us. Any Bahujan is proud of this party that gave Goa its first Chief Minister and they can come forward and carry it on their shoulders,” said Sudin.
Sudin also said MGP will never forgive BJP for its midnight dacoity and that they will pay a heavy price for it in the Lok Sabha polls as BJP would be defeated in both North and Goa with huge margins.
He appealed to MGP supporters to vote for Congress in the LS polls.
Deepak Dhavalikar accused his rival BJP’s candidate for the Shiroda by-poll for failing to develop Shiroda in the past 30 years and that locals voters should vote for change and vote for MGP. He also alleged that his rivals are moving with money bags in the constituency.
