PONDA: The trucks which were always parked and created nuisance by the roadside to local vehicles and others at Dhavlim-Farmagudi, have been cleared by the Traffic Police in view of Union Minister Amit Shah’s meeting at Farmagudi, on Sunday.
The streetlights which were not functioning for months together despite various requests have been replaced and the gaping potholes on this road which often resulted in several accidents and fatal mishaps have been repaired too on the eve of the Union Home Minister’s visit.
The four-lane stretch is full of sharp turns and with trucks parked here it blocks the view resulting in mishaps.
Locals stated that they often objected to the parking of trucks at Dhavlim-Farmagudi but no action was ever initiated against the errant truck drivers.
