PANJIM: Providing much needed succour to the students, the Directorate of Higher Education has permitted the merger of the Don Bosco College of Agriculture, Sulcorna, with the Goa College of Agriculture, Ela Farm, Old Goa, with effect from December 14, 2022.
As per the order, all students of Don Bosco College of Agriculture enrolled for the academic year 2022-2023, in the First, Second, Third and the Fourth year of the four-year degree programme in agriculture (B Sc in Agriculture) will be transferred to the Goa College of Agriculture.
Following this, the Don Bosco College of Agriculture will be closed down.
The students studying in the Don Bosco College of Agriculture were starring a bleak future since it was not recognised by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR).
