PANJIM:  Lawyer Atish Mandrekar has urged the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) to inquire into Deputy Inspector General of Police Ravindra Yadav’s extended posting in Goa violating stipulations of the AGMU Cadre.

The complainant Mandrekar has alleged that Yadav has already completed his three-year tenure in Goa but he continues to remain despite a transfer order being issued on him, a year ago on February 10, 2011.

“The 1995 batch officer was posted in Goa on February 21, 2008 and as such, he is completing four years by the end of this month which is beyond permissible limit of 2-3 years of posting,” he complained.

Alleging conspiracy between the government and the police department, Mandrekar has demanded the IPS officer’s suspension and disciplinary action and removal of the authorities involved, for not transferring him.
