PANJIM: The BJP-led government will launch its ambitious youth attractive ‘Digit Youth Initiative Scheme’ on Monday, under which a monthly package of 100 minutes local talk time and 3GB internet data with a free SIM card will be given.
The government has tied up with Vodafone to implement the scheme for the next three years. Youth between the ages of 16 and 30 years will be eligible for the scheme.
The State cabinet on November 25 had granted approval to the scheme which is in line with the Digital India initiative of the Government of India. The scheme will benefit nearly 1.25 lakh youth.
