PANJIM: MGP President Pandurang (Dipak) Dhavalikar on Friday said he is not blackmailing the BJP government not to reserve Priol constituency that he represents. However, he said that if Priol is reserved for the ST community then he will move to any favourable neighbouring constituency.
“I have to move somewhere in a neighboring constituency if my constituency is reserved and I feel Shiroda is better for me,” Dhavalikar said. He said that, in a meeting of allies they will demand that Shiroda constituency be given to them if Priol is reserved. He also said that Dabolim constituency will be retained by MGP and there is no question of BJP contesting from that constituency by giving a ticket to Mauvin Godinho is the sitting MLA from that constituency.
