PANJIM: The VMSCL-WMO International Dispute Resolution Competition is to be held from January 11 to 14. The competition is a part of a larger project, Lex Infinitum.
Lex Infintum is India’s premier competition on mediation and dispute resolution. Founded by the Alternative Dispute Board (ADR), V M Salgaocar College of Law, and the World Mediation Organization (Berlin), its resources come from the eminent advisory, rules and guidelines, and problem drafting committees.
Lex Infinitum is a unique competition coupled with firsthand experience of negotiation and mediation.
in the form of competition at the international level, and knowledge sessions where international experts address delegates. The knowledge sessions provide an opportunity to understand ADR in different cultural context.
The idea is to bring together an international forum to attract the best expert mediators from all over the globe and India to convene for an exciting time of knowledge sharing, networking, and tutoring as law students rub shoulders with their peers from different cultural backgrounds during the mediation competition.
The 2017 edition of Lex Infinitum has had an overwhelming response since last year when the competition had 20 teams including two international teams. This year’s edition will have 24 teams which has a brilliant mix of four international teams and 20 top law schools of India.
