BICHOLIM: A doctor from a private clinic in Bicholim has been accused of molesting a 17-year-old girl.
According to Bicholim police, the victim girl went to a clinic at Mapusa after she complained of abdominal pain. The doctor referred her to another doctor at Bicholim. Police said when the victim visited the clinic at Bicholim on Sunday, the doctor asked her mother to wait outside, as he wanted to do ultra sound, during which the doctor allegedly molested the girl.
After going home, the victim narrated the incident to her mother and told that the doctor touched almost all parts of her body on the pretext of checking her. The girl’s mother registered a police complaint on Monday.
Acting on the complaint, police booked the doctor and sources said the accused doctor is likely to be arrested after the victim gives her statement before an NGO.
