PANJIM: With Class X Board results set to be announced on July 28, the Directorate of Education (DoE) has asked the higher secondary schools to explore possibility of online process for admissions for Class XI to avoid students rush.
Education Director Santosh Amonkar has asked the schools to look for alternate arrangements as usual, where online admissions process is not possible.
A circular in this regard has been issued to all heads of the government and government-aided higher secondary schools.
“The results of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination conducted by Goa Board are expected to be announced on July 28 and soon after the students receive the mark sheets there will be rush for admissions to various higher secondary schools,” the circular mentioned.
“All the heads of schools are informed to explore the possibility of online admission process as far as possible to avoid the students visiting the schools,” it added.
“Wherever not possible, alternative arrangements as usual may be made following all the guidelines issued in view of COVID pandemic,” it added further.
Nearly 19,100 students had answered Class X Board examination held in May. The result would be announced on July 28, at 4.30 pm.
Result sheets will be emailed to the schools concerned on July 29 while the mark sheets will be available in the schools from August 6, onwards and will be available on official website www.gbshsegoa.net.
List of other websites to locate candidates’ SSC results will be available at gbshe.gove.in/www.gbshe.info.
The result booklet will also be available on official website of the Goa Board.
