CANACONA: A dolphin carcass was found on Galgibag beach on Wednesday.
Sources said that the carcass of an adult dolphin was found by forest officials at the southern end of the beach close.
The 2.5-mt-long carcass weighing around 250 kg had an injury.
Sources also added that the deaths of dolphins were mostly due to the aquatic mammals getting hit on treacherous rocks or watercraft propellers and attributed one of the above reasons for the death of the above mammal.
The doctors from the government veterinary office performed autopsy on the carcass, which was later buried on the beach.
