Dona Paula murder: weapons recovered

Panjim police on Thursday recovered murder weapons from Shyam Anchal, who fatally stabbed his former colleague at Dona Paula, on August 28.
Inspector Sandesh Chodankar informed reporters that they have recovered a knife and pillow cover soaked in blood from an abandoned stall at Patto.
The Mangalorean accused, 25, earlier confessed of killing Sidaram alias Siddesh Alure in a fit of rage for losing his (accused) job as a manager in a guesthouse at Dona Paula.
Alure, 24, was found dead with his throat slit, in the guesthouse where he worked as a room boy. The accused did not spare the victim’s newly wedded wife Rajeshree, 19, and brutally attacked her as well, who is in a critical condition at Goa Medical College and Hospital at Bambolim.
The pair had come down to Goa after their marriage on May 16 and stayed in the basement of the guesthouse.
Anchal, currently remanded to 14-day police custody was arrested by Panjim police for sending lewd text messages to an employee’s wife, in June. His job was subsequently terminated, for which, Anchal, a history-sheeter suspected Alure.
