PANJIM: The residents of Ocean Park, Dona Paula have opposed the ongoing widening work of the road divider as it was causing problems and inconvenience to the residents.
The residents gathered near the ongoing work and complained that the widening of road divider would block the road leading to their colony and they will face problems to manoeuvre their vehicles. They demanded that the work of widening road divider be immediately stopped.
The residents had submitted their representations to the Revenue Minister Atanasio ‘Babush’ Monserrate, local MLA Jennifer Monserrate, and other concerned authorities, requesting them not to allow widening of the road divider.
There are as many as 365 flats in the Ocean Park colony at Dona Paula and about 500 vehicles, both two-wheeler and four-wheelers. They said that when more residents are yet to occupy their flats, more vehicles will create more problems.
