PONDA: State Immunisation Officer Dr Rajendra Borkar on Sunday stated that one need not be a doctor but can donate blood to save lives.

“So far there is no factory that produces blood, but the day when blood will be manufactured, there would be no need of blood donor but until then human beings have to donate it to save life,” he added.

“More and more people should come forward to donate blood which will help save the lives of the needy and feel satisfied with the great work,” Dr Borkar said.
“I have seen persons who have donated blood 50 to 60 times in their lifetime,” he said.
