MARGAO: The Police & Prosecution both have been left red-faced after Francis Pereira, the person accused in religious Structures Desecration, got discharged from 4 more cases of desecration. This brings up the total to 9 cases Francis has been discharged from.
While passing the order the Chief Judicial Magistrate Kalpana Gawas pulled up the Prosecution and police and went on to advice them not to drag in innocent people when there is no proper investigation and evidence collection done in the three cases she heard. CJM also said that there is “No iota of evidence” in the cases.
Accused Francis who was in court for the hearing was called on to the box and was told by the judge that he was discharged from the 3 cases.
