MARGAO: The Benaulim NCP MLA, Churchill Alemao, has urged the Goan people not to eat fish until the ban of fishing is lifted in August. He has claimed that the formaldehyde-laced fish has already come to Goa earlier and had been stashed into freezing plants for sale during the ban period.
Churchill, who is himself in the fishing business for quite some time now, has while urging the people not to eat fish in the ban period, said, “The fish agents have filled fridges with a lots of fish even before the ban period came into force. During June, July and August, I request Goans to stop eating fish and it is my personal request,” Churchill revealed.
