PANJIM: Days after several youth from Vasco and Margao received fake appointment letters for posts of Forest Guards, the Forest Department has warned people not to fall prey to such fraudulent letters.
In a statement issued on Monday, the department said that several fake and fraudulent appointment letters for the post of Forest Guards have been issued by scamsters. “The applicants to the post of Forest Guards may beware of such fake letters and are appealed not to fall prey to them,” it stated.
The department clarified that it does not charge money for recruitment, as was sought in the case of many by the scamsters, with people depositing huge sum.
Candidates and people may contact Forest Department in case of any doubts, and should desist from paying money to anybody, the department said.
