MARGAO: Condemning RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat’s statement directed at Mother Thereza, former PWD Minister Churchill Alemao on Saturday demanded that the ruling MLAs supporting the BJP government should withdraw support to the Parsekar dispensation if they are really aggrieved by RSS chief’s statement.
Churchill also disclosed plans to call a massive meeting at Margao after Easter to take a stand on Mopa airport, government’s move to censor tiatr and the delay in finalising the Regional Plan.
Alemao told the media that the MLAs have only shed crocodile tears with an eye on the coming Zilla Panchayat polls. He said that Bhagwat’s statement need to be strongly condemned by all people, irrespective of caste and creed. “The MLAs who went to the media condemning Bhagwat’s statement should instead withdraw support to the BJP government. They are only fooling the people with an eye on the coming ZP polls”, he said, while urging the MLAs to first withdraw support to the government and then go to the public condemning Bhagwat’s
statement.
