MARGAO: The Goa Forward Party President Vijai Sardesai has called on the people of Fatorda and Goa not to come to wish him personally on June 14.
Vijai said that though he wished to celebrate his life’s milestone with the people, he feels that holding a celebration is a medium for community transmission of COVID-19 infection.
The Fatorda MLA urged the people to stay home, stay safe and bless him from their homes virtually or phone calls.
He said, “Our birthday celebration shouldn’t be pointed out as an event of community transmission.”
“If a vaccine is found, it itself is a celebration and will get so many occasions to have a celebration,” Vijai.
“I urge the people to shower blessings on me online and from home and I will never distance you from our motto of taking Goem, Goemkar and Goemkarponn ahead,” he said referring to people of the State.
