PANJIM: The Government has decided to celebrate the 129th birth Anniversary of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar on April 14, 2020 strictly in the head office premises of the Directorate of Social Welfare at Panjim with its skeletal staff. Director of Social Welfare will ‘garland the portrait’ of Dr Ambedkar.
The above decision is arrived in view of the Coronavirus pandemic.
It may be informed that the birth Anniversary of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar, the architect of the Constitution of India, is celebrated every year on April 14 and in recognition of the same, State Level public function is celebrated at Ambedkar Garden, Panjim where the statue of Dr Ambedkar is garlanded by dignitaries in the presence of community people and other public in general.
