PANJIM: Dr Geeta Kakokdar has been appointed as the new Director of the Directorate of Health Services (DHS). Dr Ira Almeida, who was the DHS Director earlier, has now been posted as the new Director of the National Health Mission.
Dr Kakokdar was earlier the Project Director of Goa State Aids Control Society (GSACS) and has been with the DHS since the year 1991, having worked in all capacities right from a medical officer to her present posting.
