MAPUSA: Dr Nutan Bicholkar was elected unopposed as the chairperson of Mapusa Municipal Council on Friday. She was declared elected since she was the only candidate in the fray. Dr Bicholkar expressed her happiness on being elected as chairperson. She said, “ I’m grateful to God for his blessings and I’m excited to accept this position as the chairperson. I want to appreciate the help and supporters of the voters who elected me to serve them. I also appreciate the support of all my councilors and municipal staff with whose support I will go forward.”
