CUNCOLIM: Oscar Rebello from the Save Goa Movement, who’s one of the star campaigners and senior members of the Aam Aadmi Party, delivered his speech in a mix of Hindi, Konkani and English and had the crowd cheering and laughing as he had a lot of wit and humour in it.
Referring to Amitabh Bachan’s dialogues in Deewar and Shahenshah and taking a dig at the demonetization, Dr Oscar told the crowd, “Modi thinks his everybody’s father and hence his holding the entire nation “ransom” to his “haste” demands which are without proper consultation and planning.”
Oscar had another anecdote to say that if Manohar Parrikar and Arvind Kejriwal meet under the Mandovi bridge, Manohar will boast of his Defence Ministry, Rafael and F-16 days and his IIT days and ask Arvind what made him to lag behind to which Arvind would reply that currently only AAP has the hearts of all Goans.
He stated that Goans need a good heart to vote for AAP and not muscle power, wallet, money or issues to divide people religiously or on the lines of community and castes. He also poked fun at Mauvin Godinho, Mandrekar, Parsekar, Luizinho and their corruption.
