Renowned for intricately weaving sorrowful narratives, Dr. Paryekar masterfully integrates the anguish of communities like Dhanagar, Vanarmare, and indigenous societies within the pages of ‘Varsal’. This prestigious award, accompanied by a cash prize of one
lakh rupees and a certificate, acknowledges the profound impact and depth of these stories, resonating with the unspoken trials of these communities.
This honor isn’t Dr. Prakash Paryekar’s first recognition from the Sahitya Akademi; previously, he was bestowed with the Bal Sahitya Puraskar for his significant literary contributions.
