PANJIM: Dr Premanand Ramani, renowned neurosurgeon from Goa, will be the recipient of the 2018 Gomant Vibhushan award.
Chief minister Dr Pramod Sawant announced that Ramani was selected from six nominees. “The government today decided to give the award to Dr Ramani as he has brought laurels to the State with his expertise in neurosurgery in India and abroad,” he said.
Sawant said the award of Rs 5 lakh and a citation would be presented to Dr Ramani in September.
