VASCO: Drainage construction and road hot-mixing work in Baina was launched by PWD Minister Deepak Pawaskar on Monday in the presence of Vasco MLA Carlos Almeida and ward councillor Deepak Naik on the special occasion of Sao Joao feast.
During the launching work near Govt School and near Candelaria school at Baina, Pawaskar mentioned to media persons that the newly launched developmental works will commence once the monsoons is over. Pawaskar also assured Almeida and the locals present on the occasion that before December, he would ensure that Vasco will have at least 18 hours of water supply if not 24 hours.
The PWD minister also assured that files related to PWD works from Vasco constituency, forwarded by local MLA, will be cleared with administrative and financial approval by December 19, 2019. When asked about the pending asphalting work of the FL Gomes road Pawaskar revealed that asphalting work is pending due to the acute shortage of asphalt with them. But quickly assured to handle this situation.
He said he discussed this issue with CM who assured him that such shortage does not takes place. These works are likely to be taken up only after monsoon,” Pawaskar added.
