Vasco: The Hollant villagers residing near beach area are tired of people especially youth coming to the lands end in front of the beach and drinking in a public space.
The Hollant locals have demanded immediate action against the persons drinking and have also requested the shifting of their village into Vasco police jurisdiction instead of the present Verna Police Station for better policing. Some of the locals from Hollant along with the local Panch Lawrence Rodrigues met the Verna police complaining regarding the problems they face due to youth drinking here. A local told that the boozing youth here is a common phenomenon which many a times goes on till dawn. The fights, arguments and loud noises spoil the tranquility of the village and have forced the people to demand putting the Hollant area under Vasco Police Jurisdiction.
