Driver accused of fleeing with truck

PONDA: A truck driver from Tamil Nadu has been accused of fleeing with a truck and consignment, worth over Rs 16 lakh. According to Ponda Police, Manoj Jalan of SRI Roadlines, Curti-Ponda, complained that the truck driver fled with truck laden with pig iron consignment worth Rs 4.14 lakh.

PONDA: A truck driver from Tamil Nadu has been accused of fleeing with a truck and consignment, worth over Rs 16 lakh.
According to Ponda Police, Manoj Jalan of SRI Roadlines, Curti-Ponda, complained that the truck driver fled with truck laden with pig iron consignment worth Rs 4.14 lakh.
Police said the consignment was to be delivered to a company in Tamil Nadu however the truck which left Goa on June 10 did not reach the destination. After realising that the truck driver had fled with the truck (Rs 12 lakh) and the consignment worth over Rs 4 lakh, a complaint was lodged on Sunday morning.
Ponda Police have registered a case against the truck driver.
According to information, PSI G Mallik along with a police team reached Karnataka in search of the accused.
