A letter signed by 156 villagers has been submitted on Tuesday. The villagers claim that one of them was robbed of a gold chain worth 2. 72 lakhs and that the police have failed to book the culprit and recover the stolen item. Villagers have also volunteered to show police the place where the alleged drug abuse happens and have set a 30-day time-frame for police to act on their complaints failing which they that threatened to take a morcha to the police station.
Drug abuse annoys Arlem villagers
MARGAO: The residents of Arlem, Barebhat, Margao have submitted a letter to the chief minister, chief secretary, director general of police and others complaining of drug abuse and robberies in their area by a group of locals.
