PANJIM: The arrest of three persons, including a UK national, in a drug offence has revealed the modus operandi of the foreigner who would allegedly lace sugar cubes with synthetic drugs to hoodwink the police and security at airports.

PANJIM: The arrest of three persons, including a UK national, in a drug offence has revealed the modus operandi of the foreigner who would allegedly lace sugar cubes with synthetic drugs to hoodwink the police and security at airports.
The interrogation of David Jonson revealed that he would store the consignment at his home in Anjuna, which was transported to Goa from different places. According to Anti Narcotics Cell (ANC) sleuths that cracked down on the international racket, Jonson would allegedly lace the sugar cubes with LSD liquid, ecstasy tablets and MDMA. He along with two other alleged drug peddlers Yusuf Mohammad from Tamil Nadu and Ganesh Pondir from Himachal Pradesh were caught in different raids carried out at Anjuna and Arambol earlier this week.
While Yusuf was arrested with 75 gms of Metamphetamine and 10 LSD cubes, Ganesh was found with 1.350 kg of charas from his possession. The interrogation of the duo had led to the arrested of the UK national. In a raid at his house at Anjuna, ANC had unearthed a cocktail of drugs worth Rs 12 lakh. The cost of the overall seizure is recorded at Rs 23.26 lakh approx. The ANC has registered three separate offences against the trio.
