MAPUSA: The Anjuna police on Sunday held a Siolim resident for allegedly possessing narcotic substance. SDPO Mapusa Jivba Dalvi stated that they received information that the alleged accused was involved in drug peddling.
Based upon the information, a raid was conducted wherein accused Nitin Suresh Banaulikar, (44), resident of Gubla Waddo, Oxel-Siolim was found in illegal possession of 23.4 grams of psychotropic drugs suspected to be cocaine worth Rs 1,87,200 and 3.4 grams of psychotropic drugs suspected to be Ecstacy worth Rs 17,000.
The drug along with other exhibits have been seized by police following all mandatory provisions of NDPS Act and an FIR U/s 21(b), 22(b) of NDPS Act of NDPS Act has been registered against the accused.
