Drug peddler remanded

Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Court has remanded an alleged drug pusher to seven day police custody for interrogation. Suresh Kerkar (20) was arrested late on Tuesday night from Mandrem with illegal possession of 890 grams of charas, amounting to Rs 89,000.
Acting on a tip-off, the ANC raiding team laid a trap and arrested him red-handed with drugs in possession when he was waiting for his prospective customer near Askawada junction at Mandrem, Pernem.
